WENDY BREWSTER MAROUN, ESQ. is one of the founders of Brewster Maroun | Spradley, PLLC. Prior to that, she was the Principal of the Law Offices of Wendy Brewster Maroun, P.A.
Ms. Brewster Maroun is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law. She also received a Bachelor ‘s of Arts Degree in Political Economy of Industrial Societies from the University of California at Berkeley.
COURT ADMISSIONS & EXPERIENCE
Upon becoming a member of the Florida Bar in 1997, Ms. Brewster Maroun served as a criminal prosecutor at the Miami Dade County State Attorney’s Office. After leaving the State Attorney’s Office, Ms. Brewster Maroun continued her work in public service as the legislative assistant to a Miami-Dade County Commissioner. She also served overseas with the United States Embassy in The Gambia, West Africa, as the Coordinator for the Embassy’s bilateral assistance program.
Since entering the private sector, Ms. Brewster Maroun has practiced extensively in the area of civil litigation. She actively litigated cases as in-house counsel for a major insurance company for several years, and has numerous jury and bench trials to her credit. Ms. Brewster Maroun currently concentrates her practice in the areas of Creditors’ Rights, Real Estate litigation, Condominium and Homeowners’ Association litigation, General Civil and Commercial litigation, and Government/Public Relations. Ms. Brewster Maroun also testifies as an expert witness in civil and commercial cases involving attorneys’ fee disputes.
Ms. Brewster Maroun is passionate about the practice of the law. She is also committed to sharing her knowledge and experience as a professional. She provides consulting services to legal practitioners and stakeholders in the real estate and investment communities.
Ms. Brewster Maroun leads an active life with her two teenage sons. She is a Member of the Board of Directors for the Miramar Police Athletic League. She is also a member of the Gwen S. Cherry Black Women Lawyer’s Association and the Fort Lauderdale Chapter of the Executive Women’s Golf Association.
